Melody (Mary Daily)

My name is Melody, I was Jacob’s girlfriend / mother of his daughter. He passed away March 11th, 2020; 2 weeks after a horrific motorcycle accident on February 28th. He was known as Jacob Vibrant, as he was an incredibly vibrant young man. He was kind and empathetic, absolutely hilarious and fun to be around, always helping others and had a drive to be a better version of himself everyday. He loved music and art. He loved nature and exploring. He loved his dogs, Rocky and Dhiño. He loved his daughter Aadhya Opal. He was so excited to be a father.. he only got to experience it for 3 months before his accident. We loved the idea of the natural cremation and the tree they’d plant for him in Pikes Peak National Forest. We went with this service as we thought it would be something he’d love. He “was cremated” and we recieved ashes, I even got a beautiful glass necklace that was supposed to hold his ashes inside that i wore every single day, never once knowing it wasn’t actually his cremains. This was earth shattering information to find out, which really stunned me, as this is the father of my child. How do i ever explain to my babygirl the horrors of what happened to her father when he was supposed to be laid to rest in the most peaceful way possible? It eats me up every single day and this has impacted my mental health and life immensely. I knew something wasn’t right about Carie when we sat at that table with them to sign all the papers and she gave me the necklace. I remember the room being so silent and Jacob’s Parents and I trying our best to hold it all together. For years I had reoccurring dreams about Jacob not actually being gone, and I thought it was just me not being able to accept what is—Truly I think he was trying to tell me what really was going on. I know this will impact my daughter and I, and our family for the rest of our lives.. I’d like to be a part in making this a better experience for everyone involved and more. In remembrance of Jacob Wallace Soriano, stay vibrant.

A memorial is like a special place that brings your family closer and helps them remember and honor my Mother who passed away. It's a way to keep her memory alive and create a space where you can gather to share stories, emotions, and love. It's a beautiful tribute that brings comfort and healing to my family during difficult times.
